Samsung India has announced to launch candybar Galaxy Pop CDMA, budget Android smartphone in Indian market. The Galaxy Pop CDMA is powered by an 600 MHz processor and features Android 2.2 Froyo with TouchWiz 3.0 UI. Galaxy Pop will able to work with any CDMA operator like Tata Indicom, Reliance and RCOM. This is the third CDMA Android smartphone in India, after Galaxy I899 and MTS Pulse.
The Galaxy Pop CDMA or SCH-l559 has a 3.14-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 262K colors support and 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The Galaxy Pop CDMA also features a 3.15-megapixel camera with autofocus, digital zoom and video recording capabilities, which is just enough to take average photos and videos. The Galaxy Pop measures 110.4 x 60.6 x 12.1 mm and weighs 105g with battery.
Other specification of Galaxy Pop CDMA are 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio with unlimited channels to store. The Galaxy Pop CDMA phone operators 800 MHz band network or EVDO network and gives data speed up to 3.1 Mbps for download using HSD network and also feature Wi-Fi connectivity. The Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, DLNA and microUSB 2.0 supported for fast transfer.
The Galaxy Pop CDMA comes with a 1200 mAh battery which gives you up to 300 mins talktime, up to 320 hours stand-by time.
The Galaxy Pop comes with lots of pre-loaded software apps and services like Android Market, Gmail, Gtalk, Youtube, Google Maps, Orkut, Quick Office, Android Browser etc.
Galaxy Pop CDMA has 384 MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. The Galaxy Pop CDMA will be available from March 25 for Rs. 9750 in Indian market
