MSI to Launch WindPad 100A Android Honeycomb Tablet on June 1st

MSI is planing to launch an Android tablet this year. MSI (Micro-Star International) will release a 10.1-inch touchscreen Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet on June 1st 2011. The MSI tablet WindPad 100A will powered by a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. 


The WindPad 100A also offer low price than other available or forthcoming tablets to be a big competitor. The WindPad 100A will be available at price of only US$399. The Motorola XOOM has a $800 price-tag hence a cheaper Honeycomb alternative surely welcomed by all. It'll surely give tough competition to Motorola XOOM,  LG Optimus Pad, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab or Apple iPad etc.


Luc Liao, MSI marketing manager said, "If you like the Mac OS, you'd choose the iPad, but if you prefer Windows 7 or Android, you'd choose ours." This clearly indicate that MSI preparing Android WindPad 100A and other Windows 7 tablets.
Other features in MSI WindPad 100A are Wi-Fi, accelerometer, and a high capacity battery capable of providing up to 8 hours of usage time. As predicted, 2011 will definitely the year of Android tablets. After the 1st Honeycomb tablet the Motorola XOOM, its another one and hopefully other companies also preparing their own.
