HTC Launched HTC Merge, Company’s 1st CDMA Android Phone



HTC has announced the launch of HTC Merge Android. The HTC Merge is slider phone with a QWERTY keyboard. Powered by the Google Android 2.2 operating system, this will be the first CDMA world Android phone for the company. 

HTC Merge will come with a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, Android 2.2, HTC Sense, a 3.8-inch touch-screen display, CDMA with global 3G roaming support and a 5 megapixel camera. HTC Merge also comes with integrated GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity and even the ability to capture high-definition 720p video.


There is no info of LTE support which was the reason the handset was allegedly pulled in the first place. According to the company, HTC Merge will be made available through multiple North American carriers beginning spring 2011.
