LG Optimus 7: The World's First Official Windows Phone 7 Device
LG today officially revealed Windows Phone 7 handset, the LG Optimus 7. The Optimus 7 has a 3.8-inch WVGA, 800 x 480, capacitive touchscreen and boasts 16GB of internal storage. Announced in UK the world first Windows Phone 7 handset which Utilising Microsoft’s brand new operating system. This include the DLNA-based Play To, augmented reality and Voice-to-Text, which can all be added as Live Tiles on the Windows Phone 7 to personalise your device and can be accessed via integrated “Hubs”.
It has a 1500mAh battery, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, loves a bit of 720p HD video and also has Bluetooth 2.1 to go with the Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. There's also a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor and a digital compass.
Windows Phone 7 introduces a new approach to the Start screen experience with Live Tiles that offer easier access to information and services from the web and applications that are important to users. The OS is divided across six Hubs – People, Pictures, Games, Music + Video, Marketplace and Office – organise information on the phones in a whole new way, bringing together all related applications, services and content.
LG has also revealed a few features that it hopes will set the Optimus 7 apart from the other WP7 launch handsets including Play-To, which is its DLNA multimedia sharing platform, Scansearch, which is an augmented reality style real-time search assistant and Voice-to-Text, which it says "will be a godsend for text addicts, allowing voice to text transcribing for Facebook and Twitter updates, emails or memos for a convenient hands free experience".

The Optimus 7 allows users to access popular Microsoft services on the go including Xbox LIVE® and Zune® services. Consumers will have direct access to their favorite games and music, bringing all entertainment devices together for more convenient enjoyment.
