Kingston has introduced its flagship SDHC UHS-I UltimateXX memory cards, its the fastest SD card in the world. According to Kingston, the new format delivered the highest speed class available today which is nearly three times as fast as the older Class 10 standard, with up to 60MB/sec. read speeds, and up to 35MB/sec. write speeds. Recently the latest standard for SD cards (UHS-II) also introduced by the Secure Digital (SD) Association over at CES 2011.
Mr. Nathan Su from Kingston said, “Being a member of the SD Association enhances our ability to bring new technology to market. As the devices that support SDHC UHS-I become prevalent, our UltimateXX cards are at the ready.”
The performance of these SDHC UHS-I memory cards is optimized when paired with a UHS-I device, although they are backwards compatible with Class 4, 6 and 10 equipment. The UltimateXX product line will offer capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. Kingston memory cards are backed by a life-time warranty.
