Olive Telecom Tie Up with BSNL Launch Zipbook with 3G Broadband

Olive Telecom announced a strategic tie up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and announced Olive Zipbook V-X108 with BSNL 3G connectivity will enjoy free 6GB-per-month download for the first three months, after which they'll have to signup for a BSNL broadband plan. ItsIndia’s first 3G embedded Zipbook V-X108 bundled with BSNL 3G connectivity nationwide. The all new Olive Zipbook is powered with Intel Pentium N450 processor and the users have the Windows 7 OS with Windows Works, Live & Security Essentials.  
Like any other 10-inch netbook these days, the Olive Zipbook V-X108 has an Intel Atom N450 1.6-GHz processor, a 1.3 mega pixel camera and preloaded windows 7 operating system, the Olive Zipbook is priced at Rs.20,999/-. The Zipbook will be available across stores in Karnataka region along with other leading retail outlets.

Olive Telecom and BSNL will offer the 3G-enabled Olive Zipbook V-X108 with BSNL 3G broadband throughout the country, in a strategic alliance between BSNL and Olive Telecom. Olive Telecom and BSNL's joint statement comes close after Acer and Reliance formed a similar tie-up by equipping the Acer Aspire One 532h netbook with embedded 3G broadband, last month. 


The company, along with the netbooks, has showcased its innovative, futuristic and cutting-edge convergent devices including a wide range of mobile phones starting at Rs 999. These include OliveFrvrOn, India’s first dual-power hybrid phone; OliveWIZ, India’s first triple-sim QWERTY keypad phone; two touch-screen dual-SIM phones, OlivePWRR and OliveTouch; OliveMSGR, a QWERTY-keypad phone; two candy bar phones, OliveCompacta and OliveGLIDE; and three dual-sim, dual-stand-by phones, OliveLumen, V-G400 (Clamshell) and V-G500 (Slider).
