AT Tablet from Dutch Ambiance Technology with Windows 7 and SIM Card Slot

Dutch Ambiance Technology announced a 10" tablet AT-Pad which running Windows 7 Home Premium. The tablet also has a SIM card slot and netbook specs. The AT-Pad tablet is run by an Intel Atom chipset with 1GB of RAM, has a 160GB hard disk inside, USB ports, card readers, LAN port, and a mini VGA connector for hooking it up to an LCD monitor. There is also a front-facing cam and microphone for video calls.
According to company its the first such European tablet, running Windows 7 Home Premium. You can run the all normal Windows programs on it. Means its a fully-functional PC that allows users to run all of their familiar apps. The company has even received a pat on the back from Microsoft for being one of the first to come to market with a Windows-based tablet device, in response to the iPad and Android tablet onslaught. The specs are, of course, netbook-level, save for the capacitive touchscreen. This has a 3300mAh battery but no info about the backup.



Ambiance Technology’s managing director Eric Schouten said, "Microsoft even called them to congratulate with the first professional answer to “all the Android commotion.” I’m not sure I fully agree with that “commotion statement,” but what do I know."


AT Tablet is a multi-touchscreen enabled device with a SIM card slot for 3G connectivity, a built-in 1.3-megapixel camera and microphone for Skype or MSN video calls.


The AT-Pad will be available from retailers in November but no pricing details were mentioned yet.
