Firefox 3.6.11 and Firefox 3.5.14 Available for Download

Mozilla has released two new releases of its open source browser Firefox. The Firefox 3.6.11 and Firefox 3.5.14 are now available for download. This latest versions comes with stability and security updates. As we know some last updates of Firefox coz to crash system. Though Firefox 4.0 still waiting to come out from its  beta and to another beta since beta 6.


Mozilla recommended to all users to go for the latest versions available as soon as possible, especially to ensure that they are protected against potential exploits targeting the security vulnerabilities patched with the latest releases. This release contains a number of bug fixes designed to increase the Firefox’s reliability, and resolving a few security holes, there are no new features in either Firefox 3.6.11 or Firefox 3.5.14. 


Announced by Christian Legnitto, Firefox release manager at Mozilla, “As always, we recommend that users keep up to date with the latest stability and support versions of Firefox, and encourage all our users to upgrade to the very latest version, Firefox 3.6.11. We strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to these latest releases. If you already have Firefox, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours. This updates can also be applied manually by selecting “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu”.

“All Firefox 3 and 3.5 users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3.6 by downloading it (…) or by selecting “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu and clicking on “Get the New Version”, then checking for updates again once Firefox 3.6 is installed.”

Mozilla has patched nine security holes and vulnerabilities in Firefox 3.6.11 and Firefox 3.5.14. Five of the vulnerabilities resolved with Firefox 3.6.11 and Firefox 3.5.14 are rated Critical, indicative of the high level of risk they pose to customers.
