Microsoft Confirmed that Copy and Paste Coming to Windows Phone 7 Soon

Windows Phone 7 doesn't offer the most useful feature that is Cut, copy and paste functionality. Windows Phone 7 is a major step forward to being competitive in the modern day smartphone arena for Microsoft, but it does in some ways seem very behind the times. You might have remembered that when iPhone first came out, it was shipped without multitasking and cut-and-paste. But this surely a big mistake of Microsoft this time of tough competition in smartphone market. But Microsoft will introduce cut-and-paste to Windows Phone 7 in early 2011.

On Microsoft’s part, they’ve promised copy and paste will be coming in early 2011 to Windows Phone 7 devices, but that could be as much as six months away. Microsoft’s Director of Product Management for Microsoft Project, Arpan Shah also confirm this in a blog post. Critics have commented on the lack of specific features like copy & paste and lack of 100s of thousands of applications. And while both are true, copy & paste will be available as an update in a matter of weeks (early 2011) and as for applications, it’s just a matter of time.
