Nokia Admits that Some N8 Smartphones have Power Management Issue

Nokia N8 has a serious issue with its power management system. Some users around the world have been reporting that the smartphone is dying. The phone will switch itself off and won’t come back on or charge. It becomes completely useless. And Nokia also confirmed on Thursday that some of its N8 smartphones are faulty and the issue is related to power management. According to users complaints the device wouldn’t reboot, take a charge or even power on after the failure.
Nokia has confirmed there is a problem with a some of devices and it is limited to N8 handsets only. The problem in the powermanagement system used in the phone that inexplicably shuts off the handset never to boot again. Niklas Savander, head of Nokia sales and marketing, discussed the issue in a video interview published at Nokia Conversations. 
According to that, "In a limited number of Nokia N8 devices, there appears to be an issue relating to power management. As product quality is a top priority for Nokia, we have taken immediate actions to address this. As with any product performance issue, this is covered by Nokia’s warranty. Any affected consumers should contact their local Nokia Customer Care. We apologize for the inconvenience."


According to Nokia, the issue does not affect all N8 handsets and faulty units will be replaced under warranty.  If you facing the same issue in your N8, then get in touch with Nokia Customer Care in your region and the phone will replaced within the warranty. I personally faced this issue with my Nokia N8 on 2nd day of purchase and got replaced hand to hand.
