The First Android Phone MTS Pulse in India

MTS has launched its first Android smartphone MTS Pulse in India. MTS India, the mobile and high speed internet access services provider from Sistema Shyam Teleservices, is giving this smartphone for free on a one year agreement with INR 1500 postpaid plan. MTS Pulse features Android 2.1 OS, 3.2-inch TFT-LCD Capacitive touch-sensitive screen with 320 x 480 HVGA resolution, 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and 528 MHz Qualcomm processor and its a rebranded version of HTC Hero.

Mr. Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO,SSTL, said “It is indeed a proud moment for me and the entire MTS team to have crossed the 10 million customer milestone. We had started this journey about two years ago in Tamil Nadu and have crossed this milestone in less than two years."

Remember that the HTC Hero will never received Android 2.2 update so here also a doubt that MTS Pulse ever get update for Android 2.2 Froyo.
